Day 10: Relief

Today was absolutely excellent. I woke up (after having slept for 7 hours without interruption) and had no discomfort whatsoever. I decided to try not wearing my jock strap and that turned out to be just fine. My glans is a bit sensitive still, especially around the ridge, but it sort of just feels like someone is tickling my dick when it rubs against my underwear. That’s a bit weird, but it’s way better than the constant, low-grade pain and extreme sensitivity I was experiencing before.

I don’t know what brought about this change, but I do know that a couple of the stitches on the underside have come out. Most of the pain I was experiencing was coming from this area, so maybe that’s why it feels so much better now? Who knows. In any case, healing is coming along swimmingly and I’m feeling even more confident about hitting the gym this weekend.

Take a look:

Top view of my circumcised penis. It looks like the glans has stabilized after several keratinization cycles. Now it’s nice and soft.

Side view of my circumcised penis. Stitches are still ready to pop out.

Bottom view of my circumcised penis. Note the missing stitches.

The glans looks “normal” now and seems to have stopped drying and flaking like it was doing before. I think the swelling reduction rate has slowed down, but I know the ring below my glans will continue to decrease in size for another four weeks at least. The underside is a bit knobby and I sort of expected that, since I had a large vein that ran up to my frenulum there. My urologist told me that any larger veins have to be tied off with stitches and tend to be bumpy following a circumcision, but that this bumpiness should reduce to almost nothing within six months.

I’m really happy with how things are progressing!

Hey man, congratulations on taking control of your body and fixing this problem. I actually got cut a month ago…so I definitely know what you are going through. I feel pretty weird saying this….but your junk is looking pretty good!

BTW, everything feels much better once all the stitches are out…I think they have a lot to do with much of the swelling.

    Cheers mate!

I hadn’t though of this as taking control of my body, but that’s what it’s about, isn’t it? What an interesting perspective; it makes me feel more empowered about this whole thing. Thanks for pointing it out.
Haha, it’s not weird at all! Actually, compared to the recovery progress I’ve seen on other guys’ blogs, I think that my junk is doing really well. I seem to be recovering speedily, which is great. I hope that your recovery has been/continues to be equally good and fast.

I can’t wait for those damn stitches to come out. They are so annoying!
